the NFL has placed profit and brand expansion above patriotism

Psalm 33:12 — "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."

The NFL's decision to select Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl halftime performer is deeply troubling from a patriotic and national perspective. Bad Bunny has openly criticized U.S. immigration policies, mocked past administrations, and endorsed candidates who directly opposed the prior leadership of this country.

Choosing such an outspokenly anti-American figure to headline one of the most-watched events in America sends a troubling signal: the league prioritizes global appeal and cultural trendiness over respect for the values and sensibilities of the American people.

The Super Bowl is a uniquely American institution, an event that has historically celebrated American culture, unity, and achievement. By selecting someone who has disparaged the country, the NFL risks turning a celebration of national pride into a platform for dissent and division.

Moreover, this choice demonstrates a disturbing prioritization of international markets over domestic fans. While the NFL aims to expand its global reach and attract Latino audiences abroad, the decision alienates millions of Americans who expect the Super Bowl to reflect their culture and values.

The halftime show is not merely entertainment; it is symbolic of America's identity on a global stage. Selecting an artist whose public statements undermine American governance and national cohesion is a slap in the face to the very citizens who make the league profitable.

It also sets a precedent that political and ideological statements outweigh national loyalty in matters of entertainment for American audiences. By showcasing a performer critical of the U.S. at its marquee sporting event, the NFL risks normalizing disrespect for American institutions, potentially fueling cultural polarization.

In striving to appeal internationally, the NFL has placed profit and brand expansion above patriotism, respect for its domestic audience, and the values that have long defined America.😡👎
